ZigWord Bonus Words Explained: How to Earn Extras

While you hunt for the themed answers, you will often spell other real words by accident. ZigWord rewards these with a bonus.

What counts as a bonus word

Each level stores its own list of extra words that the game accepts, separate from the required answers. For example, level 500 (Scuba Gear) accepts STEW, SUIT and ANTI as extras alongside the five diving answers. In total the main levels list 42,682 bonus entries.

Why bonus words matter

• They earn rewards that help you pay for tools on harder levels.
• They are a good warm-up: finding a short extra word often reveals part of a longer answer.
